We're a small business in Wisconsin!
Capture the Flag with Gel Blasters brings an energetic, tactical edge to one of the most beloved team games. Whether you play outdoors or set up an indoor arena, this game offers excitement, strategy, and endless fun for both kids and adults.

The origins of Capture the Flag trace back to real battlefield tactics, where seizing the opponent’s flag signaled victory. Over time, this wartime practice evolved into a recreational game, now enjoyed by families, schools, and friend groups around the world.

The premise is simple:
You'll need:
Outdoor environments work best—backyards, parks, or wooded areas with natural cover. If space is limited, consider using a gymnasium with added obstacles. You can also host games in indoor laser tag arenas or family entertainment centers for a more structured experience.
Use neon-colored cones or ropes to clearly outline the centerline, sides, and back borders of each team’s territory. This is especially important when playing at night.

Each team designates a Jail zone in the rear of their territory. Tagged players must remain here until rescued by a teammate.

Use laser tag guns with sensors for a high-tech variation that enhances strategy and fun.
Place a single flag in the center. Both teams race to capture it and return it to their side.
Swap tagging with paintball hits. The rules remain the same, but the action intensifies.
Enhance night play with glowing orbs, LED bracelets, and light-up markers. Each team wears a unique glow color for visibility and style.
Add a third or fourth team for unpredictable matchups. Best for large groups, though it can lead to chaotic play if not well-managed.

Capture the Flag isn’t just fun—it’s beneficial for physical and mental development:
While some may consider Gel Blasters to be toys, the risks associated with their use make that classification debatable. Regardless, it's important to use them responsibly.

Capture the Flag remains one of the best outdoor games—fun, strategic, and physically engaging. With Gel Blasters, glowing orbs, or laser tag gear, this traditional game gets an exciting modern upgrade.
Whether you're hosting a birthday party, a team-building event, or a casual weekend match, Capture the Flag brings people together through friendly competition, active play, and lots of memorable moments.
Both! Using Gel Blasters or laser tag guns adds an exciting and strategic twist to the traditional game. Sensors or visual cues replace physical tagging, allowing for more action-packed gameplay.
The game works best with 10–12 players, divided into two teams. However, it can be adapted for larger groups by adding more teams or playing in rotation. A minimum of 4 players can still make for a fun, scaled-down version.
Look for open areas with natural cover like trees and bushes. Backyards, parks, or wooded areas work well. If playing at night, be sure the space is safe and well-marked with neon cones or glow-in-the-dark elements.
You’ll need glow-in-the-dark flags or orbs, LED bracelets or team markers, neon boundary cones, and Gel Blasters or laser guns with sensors. These additions make the game easier to follow and more immersive after dark.
If a player is hit or their sensor lights up, they must head to their team’s designated Jail area. They can only rejoin the game if a teammate reaches them without getting tagged.
Yes, Capture the Flag can be played indoors in gyms, basements, or laser tag arenas. Just make sure to create clear boundaries and plenty of cover using furniture or inflatable obstacles. Avoid playing in tight or fragile spaces.
Add more teams, use one central flag for a tug-of-war twist, or play in low light with glow-in-the-dark gear. Assigning roles like defenders or decoys also adds strategy and keeps older players engaged.
