You most likely heard about the story of Attack on Titan. The story's massive popularity inspired the creation of others, including its prequel!

The prequel of Attack on Titan received the title "Before the Fall." This story is set seven decades before the events in the original series happen. The "Before the Fall" has 2 parts split into 3 volumes. 

Originally, the prequel is a light novel. However, it was adapted into a manga by Suzukaze as its writer and illustrated by Satoshi Shiki. The original author of the "Attack on Titan" is Hajime Isayama. The manga version has 17 volumes in total.
