GAME OVERVIEW:

Space Movers: 2201 is a cooperative sci-fi adventure board game that takes place in the year 2201. You and your fellow players play the role of crew members on board the space ship Liberty, which specializes in picking up and delivering cargo from planet to planet in the system. Your job as a Mover is to get the cargo to its destination as efficiently as possible while avoiding drawing too much attention from the Universal Oversight (UO).

The UO is the corrupt and evil government elected by the planets to police the system. They watch all movement through the system to keep order and dispatch UO Scouts to chase down and interrogate Movers who have been spotted delivering cargo. If you draw too much attention from the UO, your job will become impossible. You and your fellow players must work together to deliver cargo, avoid UO Scouts, and quickly handle any Events that pop up along the way.

To win the game, you need to complete a set of five Objective Cards. These cards directly continue the story that begins in the included graphic novel Finding Liberty. A 20-card random objective card deck will also be included with the game, allowing players to choose five cards from this deck for a fresh experience each game.

UNIQUE DICE-ROLLING MECHANIC:

One of the most unique features of Space Movers: 2201 is its dice-rolling mechanic. The game box includes a specially designed roll board where rolls take place, one die at a time instead of all at once. For each skill needed in the check, one die will be rolled needing a 5 or higher for success. Players are encouraged to strike dice already rolled in an attempt to change the result as needed. After all the dice are rolled, one last roll is made using the blank six-sided die, signaling the end of the skill check and giving the player one last attempt to change any previous die results.

COMIC BOOK AND GAME SOUNDTRACK:

The game comes with a 20-page comic book called "Finding Liberty" that sets the story and tone for the game. Players can continue the story as they complete objective cards that match the comic book. Each player starts with a hand of six double-sided cards, featuring characters like the Artful Dodger, Bill Sikes, Charley Bates, Fagin, Mr. Brownlow, and Nancy. These cards have both "Gives" and "Takes", meaning that every card that a player gives to another player either gains or loses Luck or Shillings. The opposite side of the card determines whether the player who played the card gains or loses.

To twist fate and advance towards the ultimate goal of Sanctuary at Mr. Brownlow's house, players must collect Luck and Shillings by strategic play. Once a player reaches four of either Luck or Shillings, they advance their Sanctuary Tokens to the next level. The first player to advance all the way to Sanctuary at Mr. Brownlow's house with eight Sanctuary Points is declared the winner.
