Like other arena fighters, Cursed Clash lets players choose their favorite character from the anime to star in intense battles that mimic the intensity of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. While the reduced roster might be a point of contention, each Jujutsu sorcerer (or Cursed Spirit) features unique movesets and skills, along with spectacular ultimate attacks.
Why We Like It
It might not be the most comprehensive game, but Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is a great first entry for a franchise that still has to leave its mark in the video game industry. Considering how popular Satoru Gojo is, it’s surprising that it took this long before a game like this one got released.

With scenes that look as if they came straight out of the anime, One’s Justice features all the excitement of the My Hero Academia franchise in the palm of your hand. And we haven’t even touched on the customization features yet!
Why We Like It
Beyond the intense 1v1 battles, One’s Justice also doubles as an amazing collectathon. Unlocking each costume and upgrade becomes a grind in all the right ways, encouraging you to keep playing just to see everything the game has to offer.
Since it takes place near the beginning of the My Hero Academia series, One’s Justice is also an excellent crash course in what the superpowered world of this anime has to offer.

More than your usual fighting game brawl, each battle in this title feels like it comes straight from the manga.

In this game, you play as Beat, a young boy who dreams of winning the Dragon Ball Heroes Tournament. However, things quickly take a turn when the characters from the anime start appearing in the real world, sending Beat on a quest to help the Great Saiyaman restore order to the universe.
Why We Like It
Addictive, entertaining, and surprisingly deep, Super Dragon Ball Heroes is easily the best Dragon Ball spin-off since Dragon Ball Fusions. For non-Japanese fans, this is as close as we’ll ever get to the authentic Heroes arcade experience – and the best part is that we don’t even have to deal with the gacha mechanics with the Switch version.

As its name implies, Link Evolution introduces Link monsters to the game. They are a step up from even XYZ creatures in terms of versatility, and a definite upgrade over the cumbersome mechanics of Pendulum Summoning.
Why We Like It
Collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards is addictive, but it can also get prohibitively expensive. Games like Link Evolution let you collect and play with your favorite cards without selling a kidney, or just try out your deck ideas before a real-life tournament.
Beyond the mass appeal of Yu-Gi-Oh, Legacy of the Duelist just feels right as a card battler. The difficulty scales rather well, and every encounter feels adequately epic.

This compilation, divided into two entries, includes every mainline title in the Battle Network series. That’s ten games in total, following the adventures of Lan and MegaMan.EXE as they battle all sorts of cyber threats.
Why We Like It
While there might be a few chapters missing in this story (like the two Nintendo DS exclusive titles), the Battle Network saga stands on its own as one of the best portable RPGs you can find, even if we ignore the Mega Man brand. That’s just the icing on the cake.

In this game, you’ll follow the generational journey of the Joestars across eight different arcs. Sorry, JoJoLands fans, but this game came out before Jodio was even a thing. Still, with its impressive roster and thrilling fights, this is the ultimate game for JoJo fans – and it plays great on the Nintendo Switch.

It’s JoJo – that alone should be a more than valid reason to love this game. It might not be as deep as more “serious” 2D fighters, but for a quick gameplay session with friends, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R proves a fantastic party game.

Much like the previous One’s Justice tile, this arena fighter features a rich selection of heroes and villains. Unlike its predecessor, however, the game feels much more polished, with a UI and a Campaign mode that do a better job of capturing the series’ unique style.
Why We Like It
Take everything great in the first game and bump up the quality to AAA standards – that’s what you get with My Hero One’s Justice 2. If the first game captured My Hero Academia’s flair and style, then the sequel turns it into an addictive and finely-tuned arena fighter that’s great to play solo or multiplayer.
