Just like Yuji, Naruto possesses an innate power and trains alongside a very capable sensei. Notably, there are noticeable parallels in Jujutsu Kaisen’s jutsus. Certain hand signs are required for various techniques, drawing similarities with familiar concepts like Summoning Jutsu, Hand-to-hand combat, and the release of cursed energy versus chakra release.
It should be a clear recommendation, considering that Jujustu Kaisen, despite preferences for it over Naruto, is a replica of the latter. Anyway, the visuals in JJK and Naruto are breathtaking, the power system is quite intriguing, and the combat scenes are flawless. While battle shonen may not be a preferred genre for some, this show is entertaining and enjoyable.

While Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood lacks Jujutsu Kaisen's horrific elements, both works include an impressive cast of compelling characters and a strong lead. Both Yuji Itadori and Edward Elric are incredibly funny and strong personalities who are led on their quests in honor of a loved one.
Similar to Jujutsu Kaisen, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has a lot of body horror sequences and other horrifying scenarios. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a fantastic Shonen anime for those who appreciate comedy and toughness at the same time.

D.Gray-man and Jujutsu Kaisen both take place in a captivating world where skilled warriors valiantly battle otherworldly beings that pose a threat to mankind. While Jujutsu Kaisen showcases the clash between Jujutsu sorcerers and curses, D.Gray-man unfolds with exorcists from the Black Order engaging in a relentless battle against evil demons.
Exorcists and Jujutsu sorcerers possess their own set of abilities and weapons, resulting in intriguing clashes between them and their respective adversaries. In addition, both series explore darker themes while also incorporating moments of humor through character interactions.
Also, the ranking system used to classify their opponents is virtually the same, making it seem as though JJK copied D.Gray-man in this aspect. Or not. Who knows?!

If you enjoyed Jujutsu Kaisen, you really must watch Mob Psycho 100. When it comes to plot, character development, and action, few shows can compare. When Mob Psycho 100's first season came out in 2016, it was an instant sensation among anime fans. There were two more seasons after that, and viewers loved them just as much.
Also, curses and ghosts abound in Mob Psycho 100's universe. Even if they don't all seem as scary as the ones in Jujutsu Kaisen, their strength is nonetheless insane. Just to say that the growth of Mob is what makes the anime worthwhile would be an understatement. If you're looking for anime similar to Jujutsu Kaisen, then you should add this series to your list.

One of the finest manga series of the new age is Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. It began serialization in 2018 and finished in 2021, and the anime adaptation was made by MAPPA in 2023, the same studio produced Jujutsu Kaisen in 2020.
Jigokuraku tells the story of Gabimaru the Hollow, an exceptionally skilled ninja who got a life sentence in prison. But after a series of attempts to be executed, he couldn’t be killed. While a new executioner sees through him and discovers his underlying reason for not wanting to die, he is presented with an opportunity to seek absolution from the shogunate.
Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku resembles Jujutsu Kaisen in some ways. First and foremost, both themes are dark. Almost every episode of both anime has a significant amount of gore and bloodshed. Second, the characters are distinct and break from traditional shonen stereotypes. Finally, both stories have various types of monsters that the heroes must combat for them to survive.

In the Shonen anime Blue Exorcist, when Rin Okumuradiscovers that he is Satan’s child, he enrolls in True Cross Academy to become stronger and gain the power necessary to battle his evil father. Similar to JJK, there are many devils in Blue Exorcist and the exorcists work hard in secret to keep the peace.
There are very notable similarities to Jujutsu Kaisen, especially in the way their societies for Jujutsu sorcerers and exorcists are organized. Also, both shows use a class-based ranking system to evaluate characters according to their skills; Blue Exorcist uses Page to Paladin classes, while Jujutsu Kaisen uses a power-scaling system called “Grades”. These similarities, and some others, make this anime series worth watching if you like Jujutsu Kaisen.

In Noragami, the minor god Yato calls himself the "Delivery God," and he hopes to one day amass a legion of devotees. But his dreams will remain unfulfilled so long as there is not even a single temple devoted to him. His weapon partner eventually abandons him after becoming tired of working for five yen for each odd task he does.
Both series share several similarities, including supernatural and non-human elements. The two anime share a similar tone, narrative, and subject. In essence, just like JJK, Noragami is a classic that effortlessly combines action and comedy.

Yoshihiro Togashi, well known for his work on Hunter x Hunter, is also the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho. The anime ran from 1992 till 1994, making it the oldest on our list. However, just looking at the retro animation design is enough to convince you to give it a watch.
The anime follows Yusuke Urameshi’s second chance at life, granted to him on the condition that he becomes a spirit detective and helps protect humanity. Like a Jujutsu sorcerer, Yusuke investigates paranormal activities in his world as a Spirit Detective. On the flip side, the powers in the realm of Yu Yu Hakusho manifest as life, spirit, and demon energies.

The 62-episode anime series Hunter X Hunter, adapted from the Japanese manga series of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi, was produced by Nippon Animation under the direction of Kazuhiro Furuhashi. Subsequently, Nippon Television broadcast a second anime television series created by Madhouse, consisting of 148 episodes, from 2011 to 2014.
The story follows the adventures of young Gon Freecss, as he journeys on the path of a hunter in his search for his father. The supernatural abilities/power system used in this series is called Nen and the story goes into great length discussing it. Hunter x Hunter characters possess special Nen abilities. This quality is also evident in Jujutsu Kaisen, in which characters possess unique curse techniques.

Seeing as Gege Akutami also confirmed that the creation of Jujutsu Kaisen was inspired by Bleach, it’s no surprise seeing the similarities between the two anime series. Just like Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach is also set in modern-day Japan and features a contemporary backdrop. Both series also feature captivating artistic designs that effortlessly accentuate the contemporary setting.
While Kurosaki Ichigo becomes a member of the Soul Society from a single act of saving his friends from evil spirits, Itadori Yuji also becomes a Jujutsu sorcerer after he saves his friends from curses that were attracted by Sukuna’s finger. What’s more? Both series are deeply influenced by Japanese mythology and the main characters also share a lot of similarities, especially in personality and character growth.

In the story of Chainsaw Man, Denji is possessed by the spirit of his demon friend, just as Yuji Itadori was possessed by Sukuna, the king of curses. Seeing as these two anime series are produced by MAPPA, it is understandable why their animation styles are very similar.
Both series have remarkable similarities, as curses and devils take center stage, while the protagonists face the perilous challenge of hunting and exterminating them. The main characters also add a distinct flavor to both anime, as while Denji is a hybrid of human and demon, Itadori is a blend of human and curse.
One last bit that makes Chainsaw Man very similar to Jujutsu Kaisen is that while Denji owes his life to the enigmatic Makima. Her word and promise to the authorities are the only things keeping him alive. Itadori owes his life in a similar way to Satoru Gojo, his senpai.

As opposed to the Shonen series’ purely fantastical violence (magical attacks that may or may not have any impact), Demon Slayer provides actual gruesome battles and fatalities, which lends more weight to each confrontation. Both series also showcase similar supernatural elements, as while Demon Slayer is riddled with demons, there are curses in Jujutsu Kaisen. But, on the flip side, Tanjiro and Itadori’s character developments are not exactly on par.
Above all, both anime series have well-animated battle scenes, character abilities that exude individuality while upholding uniformity among characters, powerful female characters who are not left out of the action, unique and distinct character designs, and the affiliation of characters with a secret organization.
