Pedro Pascal has become an internet sensation in the weirdest way possible. Judging by the current situation, anything that Pedro Pascal does or says is going to end up going viral. This meme trend has racked up millions of views across multiple platforms and today we're here to know everywhere about it.

Snack Wars Marraqueta
The most recent Pedro Pascal meme circulating is from the Youtube show, Snack Wars. The Snack Wars is a food show that features celebrities tasting various foods and snacks from different cultures while chatting and reviewing the food. The latest Pedro Pascal meme spawned from an episode featuring the man himself and Jon Favreau
In the scene, they are asked to compare an American peanut butter and jelly sandwich to a traditional Chilean snack named marraqueta. After Pascal takes a bite out of the hard roll served with an avocado spread, he states that there is no comparison for him. He takes another bite off a sandwich and he starts to space out for a moment before snapping back. The entire ordeal lasted just a few seconds and you would’ve missed it if you blinked, but it's the comedic timing of the scene that makes it so precious.

Almost all of the memes that are based off this clip follow a similar vibe where the creator is unbothered and unamused by everything that’s going on around them. Pascal is often photoshopped into a scene where there’s a highly intense situation being built up, but the creator wants to express a mundane reaction. Tiktoks that followed this meme trend garnered hundreds of thousands of views over the span of a few days.
Pedro Pascal and Nicholas Cage Meme
This particular meme is a tad bit older than the one above, but it is the best of the lot. At least for us! The meme originates from the movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent starring both Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal. Unlike the Snack Wars meme, this particular meme didn’t circulate as much as the other through TikTok. However, this meme absolutely blew up on Reddit and YouTube.
In the movie, the scene starts with the duo sitting in a car driving along the California coastline. Nicholas Cage is sitting shotgun looking haggard, unimpressed, and agitated. The tunes of “Make Your Own Kind of Music” slowly roll in as the camera pans over to the driver's seat. In the driver's seat is none other than a happy, shaggy looking Pedro Pascal, who is grinning his face away. The two extremes showcased by the two actors form the basis of the meme and were adapted by the internet to suit a variety of contexts.
According to our sources, the video clip was first used as a meme by @gh0uliasux, who is a TikToker who creates funny content for his fans. Their meme came out in February with the caption, “Me telling the same thing to my boyfriend for the 20th time”. Pascal was labeled as the girlfriend and Nicholas Cage was labeled “me”. This video blew up in popularity, getting over 5 million views in a month.
This initial meme served as an inspiration for others to use, matching the same context to dramatize absurd everyday scenarios. Nicholas Cage even reacted to the meme at the Miami-Dade Film Festival. Even though he didn’t know what the meme was exactly about, he was happy that people were enjoying it. Truly a wholesome moment.
Pedro Pascal Crying Meme
The Pedro Pascal crying meme is an older meme that went viral way back in 2021! You could say that this is the meme that catapulted Pedro Pascal into the world of memes. Even though the meme came to life in 2020, the clip was cut out from a scene in which Pedro Pascal acts out a scene in the play I, My Ruination.
The clip shows a happy Pedro Pascal laughing during his enactment and instantly transitioning into him crying hysterically. This clip was then used by internet users as a meme to showcase intense sadness. The earliest use of this clip as a meme and as an internet response was recorded in November of 2020. A YouTuber that goes by the name of Big House posted this clip as a reaction to the Guts theme song from Berserk. This clip garnered over 140,000 views in the following months which paved the way for its use.
Even though the clip’s birth as a meme began in 2020, it really didn’t go viral until it made its way to, where else, but TikTok. A TikToker by the name of Corazxn posted this clip as a reaction to a scene in the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen. The TikTok posted by Corazxn got over 2.5 million views, accelerating its popularity within the internet community.
Several other users followed his example after Corazxn posted his initial meme. This gave birth to a massive trend with videos getting millions of views monthly. The popularity of this meme allowed it to make its way into Instagram feeds across the world, raking in hundreds of thousands of views within a few days.
Pedro Pascal, The Man Behind the Memes
The Mandalorian star hasn’t shown any ill will against his fame as a meme. Pedro Pascal is often looked upon as a wholesome and chill celebrity which is further proven by his reaction to the various memes circulating around his name. The actor is an avid fan of video games, even frequently saying that he’s not very good at them This exemplifies his laid back personality.
Unlike some other celebrities, Pascal has a more low-key fanbase. They haven’t gone overboard with the memes and certainly haven’t disturbed the actor’s personal space. Even more, when online users complained that the Snack Wars meme’s audio was disturbing due to the chewing sounds, meme creators muted the clips before creating content. Instead of blowing up into a social media firestorm, the situation was diffused in quite a wholesome manner.
