One of the many great features of Hogwarts Legacy is the ability to customize your character. You can customize your appearance, attire, hairstyle, and even your wand. Much like your gear, you have to collect items throughout the world or through side quests in order to achieve the style you’re going for.

Luckily, there are no shortage of unique wand handles throughout the world, with a whopping forty-two of them scattered here and there. They can be tricky to find, since there is no quick and easy way to find a specific wand handle. While exploring is your best bet, there are a few tips and tricks that can help speed up the process.

Collected From Side Quests

There are five wand handles that can be collected by completing certain side quests, so you don’t have to spend all day sorting through collection chest after collection chest. Some quests may not appear until you are at a certain level or may be difficult to complete if you are not high enough level.

From Collection Chests

There are thirty-seven more wand handles that can only be found in Collector’s Chests. These chests contain one of three things: Wand Handles, Conjurations, and Traits. There are 168 chests scattered around the map which will give you a random item each time. Even if you were to reload to your last save and open the same chest, you’d get a different item. Some are also behind locked doors that require Alohomora I, II, or III, so you will have to complete The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament quest to open them.

The best way to find all the Collector’s Chest is to know how many are in each of the seventeen regions.
