Buggy the Clown began his pirate journey as an apprentice in the Oro Jackson as a part of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger’s, crew alongside a young Shanks. While a member of Roger’s Crew he ate the Bara Bara No Mi (Chop-Chop Fruit), making him one of the two members of the Crew with Devil Fruit powers. Buggy’s path took a turn after Roger’s execution when he and Shanks parted ways, leading Buggy to search for treasures and make a name for himself.
He combines an eccentric personality and looks with wit and ambition. With a crew of circus freaks, Buggy made a life of treasure hunts as a pirate, where he eventually held Orange Town hostage. This was where he first faced Luffy leading to his first big defeat.
Buggy has a habit of “failing upward”, where somehow all his failures as a pirate led him to grow his reputation and made people believe he’s a fearsome threat. He became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea before their dissolution. Then, he joined forces with Sir Crocodile and Hawkeye Mihawk to create the Cross Guild, a group of pirates hunting and offering bounties on Marines.
Finally, after another misunderstanding, he became one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He has declared his desire to reclaim the One Piece and become King of the Pirates and, with one of the biggest crews in the series, he might just have one of the best shots at fulfilling that dream.

Sir Crocodile, AKA “Mr. 0”, is a former warlord of the sea and the president of the criminal organization Baroque Works. Like many upcoming Pirates, he was a quick rising name on the high seas. He wanted to become the King of the Pirates in his youth as inspired by Gol D. Roger. However, his dream came to an end in his early 20s after suffering a devastating defeat against Whitebeard.
As a Warlord of the Sea, he planned to infiltrate the kingdom of Arabasta and use his criminal organization to destabilize the kingdom and take control. By doing this he’d be able to get access to the Poneglyphs, as he believed they pointed at the Ancient Weapon Pluton, a legendary battleship that would give him the power to conquer the world. After Luffy defeats him, he seemingly becomes more calm and changes his plans into something more ambiguous. He was a key ally in the Impel Down escape and saved Luffy’s life many times in the Paramount War in Marineford.
His influence and great mind go hand in hand with his strength, making him one of the best villains in the series even to date. Both as a villain and an anti-hero, Sir Crocodile continues to shine. He’s currently a co-founder and possibly (let’s be honest, definitely) the mastermind behind the Cross Guild, even though to the public eye he serves under Emperor Buggy.

Powered by his electricity he’s going to use it to reach for the legend Vearth.
His sense of superiority and immense power has led him to treat his subordinates as expendables, as he believes himself to be the only God. Many thought his lightning was impossible to defeat, but Luffy’s rubbery nature brought about his ultimate demise, nearly ending his plans.
Even after being defeated, he was able to power his airship, the Maxim, to fly into the skies and reach the Moon. There, he met the Automata and lots of ancient creatures. He became the leader of the Moon automata and the ancient civilization they established there His influence, just like the rest of the Skypiea arc, has become more relevant in recent years.

Then he began a complex plan that led to the execution of Ace.
After gathering one of the most dangerous crews in the world with the most ruthless criminals of Impel Down during the prison break, he arrived at Marineford and waited to finish off Whitebeard. Somehow, he was able to steal his Devil Fruit power, the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit). This fruit is also said to be another of the strongest fruits, allowing it to end devastating shockwaves and create earthquakes as well as altering the tides.
