Step into the thrilling world of dinosaurs with Chomp, a tile-placement board game where survival is the name of the game. In this exciting experience for 1-4 players aged 10 and up, your goal is to build herds of dinosaurs and ensure they are properly fed. But be careful—if the carnivores don’t get their meals, they might just "chomp" on an herbivore to satisfy their hunger!
Gameplay revolves around dual rows of goal tiles and dino tiles. Players take turns selecting one tile per round, either placing it on their personal dino arrangement or using it for future scoring. The goal tiles are kept off to the side for endgame evaluation, while the dino tiles form the core of your strategy. With three sizes of herbivores and carnivores, each tile must be arranged carefully to overlap previous tiles, with the challenge of hiding any covered dinosaurs.
To build a thriving herd, you need to connect adjacent dinosaurs of the same species, ensuring they have access to a shared food source. However, the ecosystem is harsh—dinosaurs left unfed or adjacent to a tar pit won’t survive. Additionally, if carnivores are starved, they will hunt the herbivores! The game requires you to balance the needs of your herds while managing the dangerous predators lurking nearby.
At the end of the game, Chomp rewards you for each surviving and fed dinosaur, with the size of the dino determining its score. The player with the highest score wins, proving their mastery of dinosaur management!
Whether you're building massive herds or carefully ensuring the survival of each species, Chomp offers a dynamic and strategic experience for dinosaur lovers and board game enthusiasts alike.

The era of the dinosaurs is here! Your goal in Chomp is to form herds of dinos and make sure they are all fed. Herbivores and carnivores both need food sources, but if the carnies are not properly fed, they don't mind chomping an herbie to fill their bellies!
Gameplay involves dual rows of goal tiles and dino tiles, and each turn players select one tile to add to their personal arrangement. Goal tiles stay off to the side for endgame scoring, and dino tiles are arranged in front of each player. Dino tiles include three sizes each of herbivores and carnivores. Each tile must overlap previous ones, either on top of a quarter tile, half tile, or even a whole tile, ensuring that any covered dinos are completely hidden.
Adjacent dinos of the same species form herds, which will eat together if connected to a single food source — or die together if they are unfed, adjacent to a tar pit, or next to an otherwise unfed carnivore!
At the end of the game, each living and fed dino scores 1-3 points depending on its size, and the player with the highest score wins.
