Step into the fast-paced world of journalism with Extra! Extra!, a thrilling board game from Mayfair Games that puts you in the editor's chair. In this exciting game of news gathering and publication, players compete to complete the front and back pages of a newspaper with a variety of stories of different sizes.
The key to success lies in scoring bonus points by publishing stories in your specialty, as well as incorporating extra material, interviews, and captivating headlines. With six newsworthy subjects to cover — home, world, business, politics, sport, and leisure — players must strategically place their reporters on the stories they want to publish.
But beware: competition is fierce, and other newspaper owners with deeper pockets may outbid you for the most sought-after stories. Navigate the cutthroat world of journalism as you acquire copy and photo cuttings from "the morgue," hire additional reporters, and sell news to raise capital.
The race to complete your front and back pages is on, but victory isn't guaranteed. Will you be the first to publish your pages and claim the coveted bonus, or will your Circulation Points determine the ultimate winner? Find out in Extra! Extra!, where every headline counts in the pursuit of journalistic glory.

About Mayfair Games
Mayfair Games was an American publisher of board, card, and roleplaying games founded in 1981 in Chicago, Illinois. Known for titles like Empire Builder and the Role Aids series, the company gained prominence by introducing Euro-style board games to English-speaking audiences, notably publishing The Settlers of Catan in 1996. Financial difficulties led to its closure in 1997, but it was revived under Ironwind, Inc., continuing to operate under the Mayfair Games trademark.
The company underwent a reorganization in the 2000s, focusing on successful titles like Catan, before transferring its rights to Asmodee’s Catan Studio in 2016. In 2018, Mayfair Games sold its remaining assets to Asmodee North America and shut down. It is remembered for its influential role in bringing popular games like Agricola, 1830, and Patchwork to a broader audience.
