How to Play

Every player begins with 6 cards, which can be treasure or guns cards. You’ll use these to assemble ships, each one playing an important role in your combat or escape strategy.

Phase 1: Shipbuilding

The game begins with the shipbuilding phase. Each player selects 3 cards and places them face down to form a ship; only the bow of the ship is placed face up for everyone to see. Once the ships are set, players draw 3 more cards to refill their hands.

This goes on until every player has drawn 12 cards. Using your cards, you can either build multiple small ships or use all of them to make one huge ship.

Phase 2: Marauding

Once all players have drawn a full set of 12 cards, the real action begins: it’s time for combat!

The player with the highest amount of treasure showing on the bow card goes first. Taking turns in order, each player chooses one of their ships to attack an opponent’s ship. However, please note that during the marauding phase, attacking is mandatory on your very first turn; you can’t escape with your treasure just yet!
