It is not unusual for a series as big as One Piece to have multiple video game titles out there, especially considering that the franchise has been ongoing for over 25 years at this point. From 2D platformers to exciting fighting games, full-blown RPG titles, and so much more. One Piece games are as varied as the series itself, and they offer fans many ways to experience the thrills of the Grand Line firsthand.
Today I’ve embarked on a quest to gather some of the best One Piece video games of all time. The cream of the crop, if you will. These games I believe do a great job at capturing the spirit of Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece.

One Piece Odyssey is a role-playing game focusing on a unique new adventure with the Straw Hats as the crew embarks on an unexpected adventure after ending up stranded on a mysterious island called Waford. This new adventure will take players to meet new characters in a new story supervised by Eiichiro Oda.
Story
After the ship and the crew are seemingly in shambles, they meet land on the island of Waford. There, they meet Lim, a shy girl with a mysterious power, and Adio, a man who is very eager to go adventuring. Through Lim’s power, they are forced to re-live past adventures and experience them once again in a new light. As exciting as this might be, it also means that it will be a rollercoaster of emotions, taking us back to some fun and heartbreaking moments as well.
Unravel the mysteries of Waford Island, uncover a deeper conspiracy, and discover the ancient relics and the true nature of the island.
Gameplay
Players get to control various members of the Straw Hats crew and build teams to strategically face the turn-based combats and solve puzzles while exploring to progress in the story. Engaging in epic battles against new and familiar foes while going on this odyssey is what this game is all about. The game is a JRPG, so all of the hallmarks of that genre are on full display.
Review | 9/10
One Piece Odyssey is one of the best One Piece video games of all time. With an amazing original story, this game pays a beautiful homage to the world created by Eiichiro Oda.
The rich storytelling and character interactions are top notch. Not only that but the stunning art and visuals make for an amazing experience. Being able to live some of the most iconic moments in the series in this original style is a one-of-a-kind thing. The voice acting, featuring the original Japanese cast, adds to the authentic One Piece experience. However, the turn-based system and rather slow gameplay may not appeal to everyone.
Overall, One Piece Odyssey is a love letter to fans of the series. Even though the pacing and game style might not be what comes to mind when you think about One Piece, somehow they made it fit perfectly. The emblematic moves, the gorgeous animations and visuals, and the surprisingly good story, all work together to make Odyssey one of the best One Piece video games.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is the latest installment in the Pirate Warriors series. This action-adventure game is an action packed adventure game that combines the world of One Piece with the popular gameplay mechanics of the Warriors, or Musou, games.
Story
In One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, players take control of a varied roster of characters from all over the One Piece universe, using their special abilities and iconic moves to progress through the main events of the series, at least up until Wano. While there’s the story mode that allows the players to experience the series plot as it happened, there’s also the free mode, where players can choose any character they’ve unlocked to complete whichever mission they choose.
Gameplay
For those unfamiliar with the term Musou, it basically represents a vibrant setting against massive hordes of enemies, using all the over-the-top abilities we see in the series to defeat them all. But you don’t have to do it alone, the multiplayer mode allows you to play co-op with up to four players to take on the missions as a real pirate crew.
Review | 8.5/10
One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is by far the best entry in the Pirate Warriors series. The thrill of wiping out horde after horde of hundreds of enemies, combined with the fantastic One Piece universe and each character’s iconic moves make it an exciting experience.
With the numerous enemies and trademark moves from the characters, the game is a visual treat, with some moments that look like they belong in the anime. The pacing is fast and really fun. As fun as it may be, the fights can become a little repetitive, especially for those going for 100% completion.
One of the things that make this particular game stand out is that it does a great job of recapping so much of the series. It goes over some of the key arcs in the series and gives an abridged but comprehensive version of the events. Of course, it’s no substitute for the original content, but it’s a great way to refresh your knowledge or to get newcomers interested in the series.

One Piece World Seeker is a pretty unique and bold different direction from what you’d expect from a One Piece game, making it a first for the franchise venturing into the intimidating open-world territory. Live the experience of exploring a completely new and original island somewhere in the New World.
Story
On the mysterious Prison Island, the Straw Hats meet a man named Issac, a former Marine warden whose scientific pursuits have led him down a path of technological obsession. Level up your rubbery powers and Haki as you progress in the game, explore the mysterious island, uncover all kinds of secrets, find hidden treasure, and stop the evil plans of Issac and his machines. You might even defeat some of Luffy’s top rivals along the way.
Gameplay
The game turns the vibrant world of One Piece into a vast playground where players take the role of Luffy. His rubber powers come into play as you swing between buildings, scale walls, and soar through the skies of Prison Island. Play around with Luffy’s powers to freely explore with all the rubbery and cartoony moves. But keep an eye out, there are some serious threats lurking around the island.
Review | 6.5/10
One Piece World Seeker captures the explorational and adventurous spirit of One Piece while breaking new grounds for the series in the gaming world. It is especially in the visual design that this game shines. The animations, the movements, and the fluidity of traversing the island using Luffy’s Gum-Gum abilities is nothing short of fantastic.
Of course, Luffy’s abilities are best used in combat and you get to use a bunch of the most iconic moves. The combat gets very repetitive just a few hours into the game, it does have a fun twist in the gameplay when you can play as different characters and use their abilities though. The plot is solid and the narrative is pretty original. Like many One Piece movies, it brings back some of the most iconic characters to bring a familiar face to the story.
Overall One Piece World Seeker may not be the game for everybody, but for the hardcore fans, it’s certainly a game worth playing.

One Piece Burning Blood is a 3D fighting game that throws players into the very heart of the Paramount War. It takes them into one of the most emotionally charged sagas in the series, not only emotionally, but also in the action-packed battle scenes.
Story
The story mode focuses on the Marineford Arc and Luffy’s heroic journey to rescue Ace. Focusing on such a massive war between the Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates is certainly a hit, especially since it is still regarded as one of the best arcs in the entire series. In Burning Blood players get to experience the most pivotal moments through different perspectives, and even with the expansive take on these scenes, the narrative remains concise and solid.
Gameplay
Burning Blood lets players switch between their chosen characters, similar to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games, combining their abilities, and creating strategic depth into the flashy combats. The combat system, while accessible, allows players to execute spectacular moves and combinations that feel true to each character's fighting style. Players can build their dream teams by choosing from a massive roster of 44 characters, each bringing their unique fighting styles, Devil Fruit powers, and Haki abilities to create explosive 3v3 confrontations that capture the chaos and spectacle of One Piece battles.
Review | 8/10
One Piece Burning Blood succeeds in capturing the visual style and chaos of the One Piece world, especially during this iconic war. The game shines bright with its presentation, the amazing visuals, and the animations that translate so naturally from the anime style to a 3D fighting game.
The team-based combat mechanics add an interesting twist to the strategy and allow you to create some really sick combos, especially since each character has the most iconic moves in their move sets. Even though it focuses on just one part of the series, the character roster goes beyond the characters in the Marineford War to include some of the fan-favorite characters of the One Piece world.
However, the game stumbles in some key areas - the combat mechanics, while flashy, lack the depth that fighting game enthusiasts might expect, and the story mode feels shorter than it should for such an epic saga. Camera issues can sometimes make it difficult to follow the action, and the gameplay can become repetitive after extended sessions. Despite these flaws, Burning Blood serves as an entertaining party game that One Piece fans will particularly enjoy.
While it may not revolutionize the fighting game genre, it succeeds in delivering an authentic One Piece experience that captures the essence of the series' epic battles. It’s a solid addition to any fan's collection.

One Piece Bounty Rush takes all the epicness of One Piece combat to the palm of your hand, offering mobile, fast-paced 4v4 matches that capture the series' signature combat style. Players can build teams from a diverse roster of characters, each faithfully recreating their manga counterparts' fighting styles. The game offers multiple play-styles through its class system, adding teamwork and strategic elements.
Story
There really isn’t an overarching storyline to Bounty Rush. The focus of this game is collecting your favorite characters and making them super strong.
Gameplay
Bounty Rush is a 4v4 capture the flag style game. Players choose a character that has a specific class and join a team in order to capture the opposing teams’ bases. The classes affect what kind of gameplay style you prefer. Attacker types like to rush in guns blazing, Defenders hold the line, and Runners sneak around to steal treasure - there's a playstyle for everyone.
The roster is huge - over 100 characters, each packing two unique skills that feel right out of the manga. Characters come in 4-star or 5-star flavors through the gacha system, using Rainbow Diamonds or event tickets. You'll need duplicates to hit 6-star, plus materials for skills. The medal system lets you fine-tune stats and grab set bonuses, adding another layer of customization.
The game's pretty generous with daily rewards and event goodies, but the gacha rates can be rough if you're hunting specific characters. Server hiccups may happen, especially during big events, but the core gameplay loop is solid enough to keep you coming back.
Review: 7.5/10
One Piece Bounty Rush faced a rough start, even being pulled down from the app stores early in its lifetime, but when everything clicks - pulling off perfect team plays, clutching a close match, or finally maxing your favorite character - Bounty Rush delivers exactly the kind of One Piece action you want on mobile. It's perfect for quick matches between manga chapters, with enough depth to keep you hooked. Just keep an eye on your wallet when those tempting banners drop.

One Piece Treasure Cruise stands to be one of the best One Piece video games regarding the content covered. It delivers the full One Piece experience in mobile RPG form, following Luffy's journey from his first adventure through every major story arc.
Story
Treasure Cruise’s story mode covers the entirety of the One Piece story, up through Wano. Much like Bounty Rush, the focus is more on character collection.
Gameplay
The game combines turn-based combat with timing-based tap mechanics, making battles more engaging than your typical mobile RPG. One of the cool things is just how rewarding the combat system can be when it comes to skill and planning. Players need to time their taps perfectly to chain attacks together while managing special abilities and captain effects that can dramatically change the flow of battle.
Team building is central to success, with players able to create up to eight different crews of six characters each. The roster features hundreds of playable characters, even though a lot of them are variations of different characters from throughout the series, each with unique abilities that can synergize in powerful ways.
Just like in Bounty Rush and many other mobile games of the same style, characters are obtained through the gacha system, using Rainbow Gems this time. Evolution materials and experience points are needed to strengthen characters, with daily islands and events providing resources. The game maintains a steady stream of content through raids, colosseums, and limited-time events that challenge players to build specific teams or meet unique conditions.
Review: 9/10
One Piece Treasure Cruise stands out as possibly the most complete One Piece video game experience, at least in terms of narrative and covering the story. Each character and unit features unique, beautiful, and completely original illustrations that capture iconic moments from the series. All of this, while special attack animations bring these gorgeous artworks to life with flashy effects that make landing perfect chains incredibly satisfying.
The story mode brilliantly recreates the manga's epic journey, backed by strategic combat that goes far beyond simple tap mechanics. The depth comes from team building and timing - chaining attacks perfectly while managing special abilities and captain effects can mean the difference between victory and defeat. The gacha system plays fair - while premium units are exciting, the game regularly provides free characters strong enough to tackle most content.
Small gripes with repetitive grinding aside, the depth of combat, team customization, and consistently outstanding artwork make this a must-try for One Piece fans and mobile RPG enthusiasts alike. Even veterans will find new strategies to master and stunning units to collect long after completing the story mode.
